Noted Texas Litigator Mark Sales Joins Dykema In Dallas

K&L Gates, Hughes & Luce Veteran Brings Significant Management Experience and Expands Litigation Platform of the Firm’s Dallas Office

Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the addition of Mark K. Sales to the firm’s Litigation Department as a Member in the Dallas office. Prior to joining Dykema, Sales was a partner with K&L Gates where he was a member of both its Commercial Disputes and Private Clients practices. Sales practiced for 25 years with Hughes & Luce, where he served on the firm’s executive committee and as hiring partner before that firm merged with K&L Gates Jan. 1, 2008.

Sales focuses his practice on probate litigation with an emphasis on tax and fiduciary disputes in trust and estates matters. Sales served as chair of K&L Gates' Probate, Trust and Related Fiduciary Duty litigation practice group and repeatedly has been recognized by Texas Monthly as a Super Lawyer in this practice area. He also counsels clients on a variety of trial and appellate matters in the federal and state courts, involving product liability, personal injury, toxic tort, energy, and insurance.

Sales recently served as a director of the State Bar of Texas from 2007 to 2010 and previously served as president of the Dallas Bar Association in 2006 and president of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers in 1994.

He received a J.D., cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the law review, and also has a B.S. from Texas A&M University.
