Dykema Attorney Speaks At Global Conference In South Korea

Dykema, a leading national law firm, announces that on June 9, Daniel P. Malone delivered a keynote speech on the effect of large-scale U.S. recalls on the global auto market and Korean suppliers at the Global TransporTech 2010 Conference in Daegu, South Korea.  Mr. Malone also participated in a panel discussion at the conference on the same subject with representatives from Korea, Japan and the U.S. This annual exhibition and conference for the Korean auto industry is designed to allow overseas buyers to find the most ideal Korean suppliers. Global vendors had an opportunity to meet with Korean OEM automakers, auto part suppliers, heavy equipment suppliers and representatives from aircraft and shipbuilding industries.

Mr. Malone is the Director of the firm’s Asian Client Relations and a member of the firm’s Automotive Industry Group.  His practice focuses on regulatory and litigation matters, particularly with respect to automotive and product liability.  Prior to joining Dykema, Mr. Malone was Director of Korean Client Relations at another major law firm.

Having travelled to Asia more than 40 times over the past fourteen years, Mr. Malone has considerable cultural intelligence, particularly as it relates to Korea.  He has experience in coordinating strategic planning and interacting with numerous individuals within the automotive industry, both domestically and overseas.
