A recently-released report — The BTI Intellectual Property Outlook 2015: Changes, Trends and Opportunities in IP and IP Litigation — reveals that in-house counsel from the world’s largest companies and organizations have named Dykema to the BTI Honor Roll for Go-To IP Firms.

BTI interviewed more than 175 general counsel and IP decision makers at top-spending organizations to isolate the best opportunities and law firms by name in IP and IP litigation. These one-on-one interviews were conducted by BTI’s team of highly-trained executive interviewers between Dec. 3, 2013 and June 10, 2014. This survey is the only continuous benchmarking market study in the legal services industry.

“We greatly value this honor and believe it reflects how the people and companies whom we represent value our work and our dedication to providing exceptional client service in all practice areas, including IP,” said Peter M. Kellett, Dykema Chairman and CEO.

BTI has been doing an in-depth analysis of the legal industry for more than 14 years, identifying emerging trends in the IP sector and highlighting the firms who are at the top of the industry. IP decision makers focus on recognizing the leaders in complex IP litigation, complex patent work, routine IP litigation and routine patent work.

“Our conversations with in-house counsel revealed that we will see an increase in IP caseloads in 2015, with a small increase in budget,” said Michael Rynowecer, President of the BTI Consulting Group. “Leading IP firms will be those that can handle this increasing caseload with skill and ease, providing clients with the necessary assistance they need in this growing area.”
