Steven Peden Joins Dykema In Los Angeles

Addition of Transactional Attorney Strengthens Depth of Dykema’s Corporate Finance Team on the West Coast

LOS ANGELES - Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the addition of Steven E. Peden to its Corporate Finance Practice Group as a member in the firm's Los Angeles office. Prior to joining Dykema, Peden was in the Business Solutions Department at Steptoe & Johnson LLP.

Peden focuses his practice on representing privately-held businesses in connection with private debt and equity transactions, venture capital transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. He regularly advises borrowers and lenders involved in loan transactions, including senior financing (asset-based and cash flow loans) and subordinated and mezzanine debt. He also counsels clients on strategic partnerships, corporate governance, and executive retention and compensation.

Peden is the latest lateral attorney to join the firm's Los Angeles office, which in recent months has also added Ronald Greenberg from Berkes Crane Robinson & Seal LLP; Christopher Stevens from Calfee Halter & Griswold LLP; and Brian Newman, Rich Walton and Lewis Walton from Buchalter Nemer PC.

Peden is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and its Business and Corporations Section, where he serves on the Executive Committee and is Chair of the Legislative Subcommittee. He also previously served as Secretary in 2007 and Program Chair in 2008.

He received a J.D from the University of Denver College of Law and a B.A. from Raymond College, University of the Pacific.
