DETROIT—Dykema announced today that T.L. Summerville, a member of the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group, is the newest addition to the 20-member Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit. Summerville’s election was recently announced at the Big Brothers Big Sisters Annual Meeting. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Rhonda Walker Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering inner-city teen girls.

In acknowledging the role Big Brothers Big Sisters plays in helping young people achieve success, Summerville notes, “Nothing’s more important to our community and society than helping to ensure that our youth have the support they need and the processes in place to excel and to become exceptional men and women. By connecting mentors with children in need, Big Brothers Big Sisters has done just that for years.”

Summerville focuses his practice on business and commercial disputes and consumer finance matters. He has successfully represented clients in real estate development suits, construction litigation cases, automotive supplier disputes and environmental contamination actions. He advises and assists clients in responding to requests for information or documents in connection with criminal investigations, and provides litigation avoidance advice.
