Corporate Finance Attorney Augments Firm’s Commitment to China

LOS ANGELESDykema Gossett PLLC announces that Julia Zhu has joined the Firm as a senior counsel in its Corporate Finance practice. She will be based in the Firm’s Los Angeles office and will lend her talents to Dykema’s China Team, providing legal representation and strategic counsel to firms who look to do business either with or in China.

Zhu concentrates her practice in matters of international law, business law, equity finance, trade and international arbitration and litigation. She represents and counsels domestic and international clients on a variety of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, expansion strategies, cross-border transactions, private equity deals and entity structuring.

Born in China, Zhu is fluent in both Mandarin and English. Upon graduation from Nanjing University Law School, Zhu began her legal career in Nanjing Gulou District Court, where she applied her legal talents to a diverse array of business, civil and criminal cases. Appointed as Ambassador of Investment Promotion and Trade Representative for Jiangsu Province, Zhu helped the government of Jiangsu, the Chinese province with the largest GDP, identify investment projects and potential investors and negotiate transactions.

In addition to her LL.B. from Nanjing University Law School, Zhu holds an M.S. in Sociology from Brigham Young University and a J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.
