Jacob Brege is an associate in Dykema's Ann Arbor office. His practice focuses on complex business and
commercial litigation at the trial and appellate levels. Prior to joining Dykema, Mr. Brege clerked for Chief
Justice John G. Roberts (United States Supreme Court), Judge David B. Sentelle (United States Court of
Appeals for the District of Columbia), and Judge James E. Boasberg (United States District Court for the
District of Columbia).


  • Represented national restaurant chain in age-discrimination case. After a three-week jury trial, case ended in mistrial, and settled favorably before retrial.
  • Represented biometric company in patent dispute over fingerprint scanners. Case settled favorably before trial.
  • Represented oil-and-gas company in dispute over pipeline ownership.
  • Served as lead pro bono counsel for lessee facing eviction. Obtained favorable settlement and stipulated dismissal of all claims.
