Adam Nunnallee works with businesses to win, resolve, and solve all manner of challenges for his clients. Mr. Nunnallee utilizes his diverse experience as a former federal law clerk by representing businesses both nationally and throughout the state of Texas at the trial and appellate level. In addition to his extensive litigation experience, Mr. Nunnallee advises and represents businesses regarding state and federal reporting and compliance matters.

Mr. Nunnallee follows the philosophy that one size fits nobody. This philosophy has allowed him to specialize in providing middle-market businesses the tailored, practical, and efficient advice that is essential to running a successful business. While a litigator at heart, Mr. Nunnallee considers himself an extension of each client’s business and strives to find solutions—even avoiding costly litigation—that make the most sense for each business. He focuses not only on the immediate legal issue, but learns the details and inner workings of each client so he can partner with and ensure success for his clients in both the short and long term.        

  

Notable Areas of Experience

Federal Law Clerk

  • Served as first law clerk to United States Magistrate Judge Amos Mazzant in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, one of the busiest divisions in the federal court system. Judge Mazzant was appointed as United States District Judge in 2014. Mr. Nunnallee considers Judge Mazzant a life-long mentor as an attorney, husband, and father.

Federal Court Expert

  • Obtained judgment in federal court on behalf of businesses more than 25 times through summary judgment or motion to dismiss practice. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals issued opinions seven times in Mr. Nunnallee’s cases and all seven times affirmed judgment in favor of his client.

Trial Lawyer

  • Mr. Nunnallee successfully defended quiet title and other real-property claims at trial in Harris County District Court on behalf of a national banking client. Mr. Nunnallee also obtained judgment in favor of client at trial of breach of contract claims in Dallas County District Court on behalf of a business client.

Appellate Success

  • Mr. Nunnallee has obtained rulings in favor of his business clients in numerous state-level courts of appeal. 

Deposition and Trial Appearance Training

  • Mr. Nunnallee regularly  prepares corporate representatives for deposition, trial, and other court-ordered appearances. One corporate client was so pleased with his expertise they retained him to provide deposition and trial preparation for their employees nationally in addition to the preparation provided by local counsel.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Mr. Nunnallee was a key member of a team assisting in investigating and responding to threats from the Office of Comptroller of Currency. He has resolved dozens of inquiries on behalf of his business clients from federal and state agencies such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Internal Revenue Service, and state-level taxing authorities regarding a variety of issues.
