Brittany J. Mouzourakis is a litigator in Dykema’s Bloomfield Hills office. Her practice focuses on complex litigation matters in federal court, with particular emphasis on class action, product liability, contract, consumer financial services, and warranty cost-recovery litigation. Ms. Mouzourakis has significant experience representing a variety of clients in federal courts throughout the country, as well as in alternative dispute resolution forums. In 2018, Ms. Mouzourakis was a member of the trial team that obtained a full defense verdict on behalf of a defendant automaker in a certified class action trial in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.

Ms. Mouzourakis graduated in the top five percent of her law school class and served as the Managing Editor of the Penn State Law Review. She attended Penn State Law on a Dean’s Merit Scholarship, where she taught legal writing to L.L.M. students as a Teaching and Research Assistant. Prior to joining Dykema, Ms. Mouzourakis clerked for two years for the Honorable Bernard A. Friedman, Senior United States District Court Judge in the Eastern District of Michigan and completed a Legal Fellowship at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics.

Ms. Mouzourakis is actively involved with civic organizations and bar associations in Michigan. She is the President-Elect of the Central Michigan University Young Alumni Board, the Chairwoman of the Annual Dinner Committee of the Eastern District of Michigan’s Federal Bar Association, and a member of the Oakland County Bar Association’s Inns of Court. Ms. Mouzourakis is also involved with a number of women’s groups, including the Women’s Bar Association, the St. Nicholas Philoptochos Society for Greek-American women,  Inforum, and  Dykema’s Women's Business Initiative.

Ms. Mouzourakis earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Central Michigan University, where she graduated from the Honors Program and Leadership Institute. She studied Japanese and International Business during college, having completed an intensive Japanese language program at the Japan Center for Michigan Universities in Hikone, Japan. Ms. Mouzourakis has passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test and is also proficient in Modern Greek.
