Christopher M. Carlisle Senior Counsel

Christopher Carlisle is a Senior Counsel in the Corporate Finance Practice Group and focuses his practice on counseling clients in business transactions. Mr. Carlisle has extensive experience in the creation and reorganization of business entities and equity investment structures, including partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies. Mr. Carlisle has also counseled clients in planning, negotiating and documenting different types of investment transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and asset purchases, as well as commercial lending. Mr. Carlisle also has experience in matters related to federal and state securities laws, and federal business income tax.

Mr. Carlisle also has significant experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. Mr. Carlisle has assisted both suppliers and purchasers with supply agreements for many different categories of goods and services, including information technology. Mr. Carlisle has worked on many other types of agreements related to the operation of businesses in various industries, including confidentiality agreements, licensing agreements, distribution agreements, transportation-services agreements, employment agreements, co-development agreements, and consulting agreements.

Mr. Carlisle began his legal career with a one-year appointment as a briefing attorney at the Supreme Court of Texas, and spent several years as an associate in the Dallas office of a large national law firm, where he served clients ranging in size from multinational publicly traded corporation to local real estate investors. Prior to joining Dykema, Mr. Carlisle spent five years working as an in-house transactional counsel to a NYSE-listed manufacturer of food and beverage products, where he worked primarily on commercial agreements.
