Corey A. Hemmerich is a litigation associate in the Grand Rapids office.  With almost two decades of experience serving small and large businesses and charitable organizations before coming to the law, Ms. Hemmerich is a solutions-oriented professional, skilled at understanding her clients’ needs and providing value to clients facing a broad range of challenges.

Ms. Hemmerich graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School in May of 2019.  While in law school, Ms. Hemmerich remained active in her local community in the Grand Rapids area, and served as a research assistant to the late Professor John Nagle, researching environmental and constitutional law for Professor Nagle and for Judge Amy Coney Barrett of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.  She earned the Faculty Award for Excellence in both Torts and Professional Responsibility, and was selected to present at the inaugural Keough-Naughton Institute of Irish Studies Graduate Colloquium on the constitutional implications of reconciling religious freedom with LGBTQ equality, discussing her work researching the Masterpiece Cakeshop and Ashers Baking Company supreme court cases in the U.S. and the U.K.
