Corey Q. Wheaton is an associate in the Detroit, Michigan office of Dykema. Mr. Wheaton focuses his practice on all aspects of labor and employment litigation.

In his employment practice, Mr. Wheaton advises clients of all sizes on compliance with state and federal employment statutes including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Michigan Elliot-Larsen Civil Rights Act (ELCRA).

In his labor practice, Mr. Wheaton has advised clients before the Michigan Employment Relations Commission (MERC) and has also advised clients on various labor matters including mandatory and permissive subjects of bargaining, unilateral changes in working conditions, and the implementation of variable schedules.

Mr. Wheaton graduated magna cum laude from University of Toledo School of Law and obtained his undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University. During law school, Mr. Wheaton worked as a law clerk at the Ohio Attorney General's Office, and served as a legal extern for The Honorable Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor of the Ohio Supreme Court and The Honorable James G. Carr, of the U.S. District Court.
