Dan Webster advises clients on general corporate and securities matters, corporate finance, venture capital, and mergers and acquisitions. Having served as managing director of Cox Smith, prior to its combination with Dykema, for nearly a decade and as an attorney for more than four decades, Dan is highly regarded by clients and colleagues throughout the city, state and nation. He is very active in the community as well, and has played an instrumental role in the evolution of the firm’s commitment to community involvement.


Dan serves as the external general counsel for numerous San Antonio companies, who have turned to him and relied on his business and legal counsel and guidance for decades.

In addition, Dan served as head of the firm’s Healthcare / Life Sciences practice, which counsels physicians, hospitals, health systems and other types of providers as well as medical device manufacturers and others supporting the healthcare industry in a number of areas. On behalf of his healthcare and life sciences clients, Dan draws upon the experience and skills of lawyers across many of the firm’s practice areas to help clients structure joint ventures and transactions or address other business issues in a manner that minimizes the risk of litigation and regulatory penalties.
