Dawn M. Peacock is an associate attorney in Dykema’s Chicago office where she focuses her practice in business litigation such as breach of contract and other related business torts. Specifically, Dawn's practice focuses on a variety of complex civil matters including class action defense on multiple consumer claims arising from the Real Estate Settlement Practices Act, Electronic Funds Transfer Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Truth in Lending Act, and other related consumer protection statutes. In addition, she assists on a variety of complex labor and employment matters, including state and federal employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination lawsuits, reviewing policies, assisting in negotiating employment agreements and packages, and assisting in conducting employment practices reviews.
Dawn's practice also includes complex financial services litigation matters including advising clients on all aspects of creditors' rights matters. Dawn handles commercial foreclosures, loan workouts, bankruptcy proceedings, and loan enforcement on behalf of large, mid-sized, and small banks, financial institutions, fintech companies, and the nation’s largest CMBS special servicers. She also assists businesses, banks and non-bank lenders, finance companies, special servicers and other secured and unsecured creditors protect their assets and interests in bankruptcy cases, workouts and restructurings, foreclosures, receiverships and assignments for the benefit of creditors.
