Fernando R. Aceves is an associate in Dykema’s Taxation group. He provides employee benefits and executive compensation counsel to publicly owned, nonprofit, private and governmental employers. Mr. Aceves focuses his practice on providing ERISA, IRC, DOL, PPACA, COBRA and HIPAA compliance advice for retirement and health and welfare plans.
Mr. Aceves also advises clients on executive compensation arrangements including equity incentive plans and non-qualified deferred compensation plans. He has experience addressing IRS Section 409A compliance.
Experience
Mr. Aceves graduated from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit where he served as President of the Hispanic Law Student Association. While in law school, Mr. Aceves was a judicial extern to Justice David F. Viviano of the Supreme Court of Michigan.
Prior to joining Dykema, Mr. Aceves worked as a consultant at a nationally recognized public accounting firm.
