Frankie Dame is a government policy associate in Dykema's Lansing office. Mr. Dame's practice focuses primarily on highly regulated industries. His representative areas of practice include energy and public utility law, election law, education law, insurance law, and law affecting nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations. He also maintains a healthy commitment to pro bono practice. Prior to joining Dykema, Mr. Dame clerked for two years for the Hon. Bernard A. Friedman, Senior U.S. District Court Judge in the Eastern District of Michigan.

Mr. Dame graduated summa cum laude from the Michigan State University College of Law. He was awarded a full-tuition academic-merit scholarship from the Dean Charles H. King Scholars Program for each year of attendance. While in law school, Mr. Dame served as an intern at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit for Judge David. W McKeague, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the Michigan Attorney General's Criminal Appellate Division. He was an associate editor of the Michigan State International Law Review and was active in Moot Court, including serving on the Board and qualifying for the National Championships. He received jurisprudence achievement awards for the highest class grades in Professional Responsibility and Public International Law. Mr. Dame was a student attorney with the MSU Immigration Clinic and represented clients in immigration court. He was also a teaching assistant for Contracts and a research assistant to bankruptcy professor Anne Lawton.

Before attending law school, Mr. Dame worked both as a legislative staff member for two Michigan Senators and in the Michigan Attorney General's Crime Victim Advocacy unit.
