Laura M. Callahan is a tax and estate planning attorney in Dykema's Chicago office, practicing as a member of the Tax Group. Ms. Callahan's practice encompasses the complete range of estate planning services, including will and trust preparation for estate and tax planning. Guardianship administration and probate administration are additional focuses of her work, as well as extensive appearances before the probate court for both estate and guardianship administration matters. Clients also rely on her help for collection and distribution of estate and trust assets. With an understanding of the emotional aspects of estate administration, she is considerate of the client's needs during a difficult time in their lives. As a final element of her estate planning work, Ms. Callahan provides legal services to and has experience representing both individual and professional/corporate fiduciaries.
In addition to her estate planning practice, Ms. Callahan is also involved in the Employee Benefits Group at Dykema and focuses her practice on the fine points related to benefit plan matters. She also is proficient at preparing individual and fiduciary federal and state income tax returns.
Ms. Callahan joined the Firm in 1997.
