Margaret Kim Heitjan is an associate in Dykema's Dallas office. Ms. Heitjan focuses her practice on mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate governance matters. Ms. Heitjan regularly advises clients including private equity firms, Dental Services Organizations, Medical Services Organizations, dentists, physicians, and other health care providers in a variety of corporate and regulatory matters. Ms. Heitjan has experience in drafting asset and stock purchase agreements, management agreements, license agreements, company agreements, bylaws, shareholder agreements and employment agreements.

Ms. Heitjan also has a strong background and interest in working with technology companies. Ms. Heitjan was a legal intern for a fabless, global semiconductor design firm throughout law school and worked as part of the in-house legal team of a Software-as-a-Service company prior to becoming an attorney.

While in law school, Ms. Heitjan participated in the Jon Brumley Texas Venture Labs Practicum, collaborating directly with startup companies to perform market validation, competitive analysis, financial analysis and business model assessments. Ms. Heitjan was a member of the Texas Law Asian Law Student Association, Texas Women’s Law Caucus and Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal. She was a summer clerk for the Honorable Miguel A. Torres in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas in 2018.
