Rick Daniel is an attorney in Dykema's Dallas office and works primarily in the transactional areas of financial services, asset based and other commercial lending, corporate debt finance, real estate finance, and real estate. Rick is known for his ability to find creative solutions to obstacles that arise during complex transactions. He works closely with his clients to find out what is important to them in each individual transaction.

His extensive experience includes representing lenders and borrowers in connection with the following:

  • Cross-border international credit facilities

  • Represented an administrative agent in a syndicated loan transaction guaranteed by more than 75 subsidiaries of the borrower located in multiple states for collateral perfection purposes.
  • Represented a technology company borrower in connection with a syndicated loan.
  • Represented a lender in connection with an asset-based loan to an oilfield services company.
  • Represented a lender in connection with an asset-based loan to three trusts, as co-borrowers.
  • Represented a lender in connection with an asset-based loan to a manufacturer of metal buildings.
  • Represented a lender in connection with an asset-based loan to a manufacturer of metal products with inventory located with third-party processors and advised lender with respect to bill and hold accounts.
  • Represented a lender in connection with an asset-based loan involving an intercreditor agreement with a mezzanine lender.
  • Represented a lender in connection with an asset-based loan involving an intercreditor agreement with an additional senior lender.
  • Represented a foreign lender in connection with financing the conversion of an abandoned grocery store into a self-storage facility.
  • Represented a foreign lender in connection with a loan to finance the acquisition of broadcast television assets.
  • Represented a lender in connection with debtor-in-possession financing to a residential real estate developer secured by real estate assets.
  • Represented a borrower in connection with a loan to finance the acquisition of ownership interests in a single-purpose entity that owned a hotel and conference center facility.
  • Represented a borrower in connection with a loan secured by mining assets.
  • Represented a borrower in connection with a construction loan for the construction of a medical facility.
  • Represented a borrower in connection with a loan to finance the development of a large residential development.
