Samantha L. Walls is a senior attorney in Dykema's Detroit office and a member of the Financial Services Litigation Practice Group. Ms. Walls’ diverse practice incorporates complex litigation involving banking and consumer finance, shareholder disputes, toxic torts, and general commercial disagreements for both Fortune 500 companies and small businesses.  She also devotes a significant portion of her practice to appellate work, routinely arguing and/or drafting briefs for the Michigan Court of Appeals and Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. Walls is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, where she interned with the U. S. Department of Agriculture-Rural Utilities Service.  In that role, she assisted in the implementation of congressionally mandated government-to-government consultations and served as Rural Development liaison for the White House "Cities in Transition" taskforce.

  • Servantes v. Caliber Home Loans, Inc., No. 14-cv-13324, 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 170667 (E.D. Mich. Dec. 10, 2014) (obtained dismissal of plaintiff’s claims alleging that noncompliance with Regulation X invalidates a pending foreclosure).
  • Elezaj v.US Bank, National Association, No. 14-10485, 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 140739 (E.D. Mich. Oct. 3, 2014) (successfully defeated claims relating to alleged “dual tracking” as a basis to set aside completed foreclosure on summary disposition).
