Scott Pressman is an associate in Dykema's Business Litigation Group. He is a resident in the Firm's Los Angeles office and focuses his practice on various business litigation matters.

Mr. Pressman has represented both landlords and tenants in lease transactions in a wide variety of real estate projects including retail, commercial, and mixed use properties for clients ranging from local businesses to Fortune 500 companies. He regularly drafts and negotiates commercial lease agreements and all ancillary documents including amendments, temporary leases, guarantees, estoppels, subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. Mr. Pressman acts as a trusted counsel for clients on their rights and obligations under retail leases.

Mr. Pressman received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in May 2017 and completed a study abroad program in Austria at the University of Vienna School of Law during the 2016 Fall semester. While attending law school, Mr. Pressman worked as a law clerk at County Counsel, County of Orange. Additionally, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Raymond J. Ikola of the California Court of Appeals. Mr. Pressman received his B.A., cum laude, in Environmental Studies with a minor in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2013. He also studied abroad in Singapore at the National University of Singapore during the 2011 Fall semester.

  • Represented international clothing company in 9,500 sq. ft. lease of office property. Drafted lease agreement and reviewed underlying documents in connection with the property.
  • Represented Fortune 500 telecommunications company in 5,392 sq. ft. lease of retail space. Drafted lease agreement, SNDA, and guaranty and reviewed underlying documents in connection with the property.
  • Represented manufacturing company in 40,875 sq. ft. lease of industrial property. Drafted lease agreement for the premises.
  • Represented national clothing company in connection with merging with another national retail company. Drafted numerous amendments to lease agreements.
  • Represented Landlord in drafting various lease agreements. Tenant permitted use included a fitness studio, coffee shop, and cannabis dispensary.
