ARE YOU A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONTRACTOR AND DON’T KNOW IT?

Join us on Thursday, March 26th and find out.

At least one in four employees work for companies that are federal government contractors or subcontractors. It should be easy to determine if your company is a direct contractor with the federal government, but the answer is not so clear for subcontractors. Whether or not you know about your company’s contractor status, if your company is a contractor or subcontractor, it may have an obligation to have a written affirmative action plan along with other duties.

During this workshop, we will discuss how to determine your company’s contractor status along with the significant number of new requirements imposed on contractors and subcontractors by the new Executive Orders and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). We will also review what needs to be done to comply with the regulations that became effective last year related to veterans and individuals with disabilities.

Topics to be addressed include:

  • Determining if your company is a federal contractor or subcontractor
  • General affirmative action obligations
  • New obligations regarding veterans and individuals with disabilities
  • Recent Executive Orders and regulations
  • New reporting requirements
