After 4 years of adjusting to the government enforcement policies and priorities enacted by the Trump administration, many businesses now wonder what laws and regulations await under President-elect Biden. Please join Dykema Government Policy Advisors Jim Brandell and Andrew Buczek, and Dykema attorneys Jonathan Feld, Sean Griffin, Jason Ross, and Joanne Zimolzak as they discuss what laws and regulations they expect to change—and what may stay the same— for regulatory compliance, government investigations of businesses, data privacy regulation, compliance concerns for government contractors, and other areas of importance to businesses in 2021 and beyond.

Jim Brandell is the leader of Dykema's federal government relations team. As Chief of Staff to Ways and Means Chairman Dave Camp for over a decade, Dr. Brandell led Chairman Camp's team on successful legislative issues, and served as chief liaison with Congressional leadership and the White House.

Andrew Buczek is a government policy advisor in Dykema's Government Policy Practice Group. Before joining Dykema,  Mr. Buczek served as a senior legislative assistant for Congressman Jim Barcia, who represented the 5th District of Michigan.

Jonathan Feld is the Leader of the Government Investigations and Corporate Compliance Team. Before entering private practice, Mr. Feld at the DOJ as an Associate Deputy Attorney General. In that role, he oversaw prosecutions from U.S. Attorney's offices nationwide involving a broad array of cases from financial institution fraud to securities matters to environmental prosecutions. He was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, where he concentrated on financial and securities prosecutions and other complex white collar criminal matters.

Sean Griffin is a Member of Dykema’s Commercial Litigation Team and the Privacy and Data Security Group. As an IAPP-certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and a former DOJ trial attorney, Mr. Griffin handles data breach enforcement actions, litigates privacy cases, helps clients establish and maintain data security, and responds to data breaches.

Jason Ross is a Member in Dykema’s Government Investigations and Corporate Compliance Team. Mr. Ross regularly advises companies on corporate compliance matters, and conducts internal corporate investigations related to allegations of fraud and regulatory matters.

Joanne Zimolzak is a Member in Dykema’s Government Investigations and Corporate Compliance Team. Her practice includes assisting government contractors with compliance issues and handling government contracts-related litigation, including contract claims and disputes, procurement fraud matters, and reverse-FOIA defense.
