The federal government has conducted multi-year, real-world studies, plans more, and already started rulemaking for requiring "vehicle to vehicle communications" (V2V) warning systems. Some auto manufacturers have announced that autonomous vehicles and technologies will be on the market by 2020. This is breakthrough technology, transforming the transportation world we know with the potential to reduce traffic deaths by at least 80 percent. In this webcast, we provide an overview of the multiple legal issues involving the technologies and ongoing development and testing.
