Liz Darke Earns 2023 Women in Real Estate Award From Connect Commercial Real Estate

Dykema is proud to announce that Liz Darke was honored by Connect Commercial Real Estate (Connect CRE) with its 2023 Women in Real Estate Award. Darke was one of only 10 attorneys recognized with this recognition from the Chicago & Midwest region.

According to Connect CRE, this award honors women whose talent, drive, leadership, and fresh ideas have helped them succeed and become influential in commercial real estate. In total, Connect CRE shined the spotlight on women from each of the 11 regions it covers with daily news. Honorees include women in development, finance, brokerage, investment, and real estate law, among other represented disciplines. 

In her practice, Darke represents institutional lenders in complex lending transactions, landlords and tenants in commercial leasing matters, and advises clients regarding the acquisition and disposition of real estate.

Darke is also a key member of Dykema's firm management team, holding various leadership positions. She serves as Dykema’s Professional Personnel Member, managing associates, senior attorneys, staff attorneys, and paralegals. In this role, she works with the firm’s Directors and Executive Board in recommending and promoting policies affecting more than 150 firm attorneys. She also mentors law school students and younger attorneys to help them navigate life at the firm. 

In addition, Darke serves on the Executive Committee of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, as well as the Mansfield Task Force. 

Darke earned a J.D., cum laude, from State University of New York at Buffalo, and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Syracuse University.
