The Eagle Ford Impact: Regional Economic Conditions Affecting Texas Banks, San Antonio, Texas

Events

5.18.16

Matured oil wells and depressed oil prices have impacted not just drillers and landmen in the Eagle Ford Shale region of Texas, but regional and community banks as well. Banks are also dealing with a slowdown in loan demand that has led to larger deposit balances. Many cash-rich banks have become valuable acquisition targets as a result of these economic conditions. Join us for lunch as we address the following topics:

  • Lender Liability – How to reduce the risk of officer and director liability and lender liability claims, including practical tips.
  • Banking M&A – Factors to consider (as a buyer or seller) when presented with an M&A opportunity.
  • Regulatory Hot Topics – Recently issued regulatory guidance and key issues on regulators’ minds, including risk management, underwriting, credit administration, asset quality, capital adequacy, managing concentrations, and compliance issues.
