Boldrey, Fraser, and Gelbord to Speak at the Cannabis Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan's 10th Annual Cannabis Law Conference

Lance Boldrey, John Fraser, and Brett Gelbord will each serve as featured speakers at the Cannabis Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan’s 10th Annual Cannabis Law Conference, which takes place October 9-10 in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Fraser will co-present “Breaking Down the Cannabis Regulatory Agency’s New Administrative Rules,” which will provide a deep dive on the biggest changes and takeaways needed to navigate the CRA’s new administrative rules from the Cannabis Law Section’s Legislation and Administrative Rules Committee.

Next, Gelbord will co-present “Legalization of Psilocybin,” which will review some ways that psychedelics differ from cannabis. The discussion explore potential regulation of psychedelics, taking their strength and potency into account.

Finally, Boldrey will co-present “Contract Drafting to Manage Cannabis Accounts Receivable,” which will focus on contract drafting and general strategy tips for managing cannabis A/R. Attendees will get tips for coaching clients on best practices to avoid the A/R snowball and to provide a leg up if they have to sue for collections. The presentation will cover how to use master purchase agreements to create and then enforce Purchase Money Security Interests in inventory, as well as review claim and delivery actions and other modes of collection.
