Corporate Attorney Michael Owen Joins Dykema in Chicago

Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced that Michael Owen has joined as a Senior Counsel in the firm’s Corporate Finance Group, resident in Chicago. Owen comes to Dykema after more than 35 years of practice at various firms in Chicago, most recently Gozdecki Del Giudice and Perkins Coie.

Owen is a seasoned corporate lawyer who counsels clients in all manner of secured and unsecured financings, debt trading, equity issuances, and mergers and acquisitions. He also has significant experience in workout, restructuring, bankruptcy, and insolvency situations, and the exercise of creditor remedies. With a background serving as de facto general counsel, he advises directors and executives on strategy, corporate governance, investment management, employment, and general corporate matters.

Owen is a Past Chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Commercial Finance and Transactions Committee and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America each year since 2009. He earned a J.D., cum laude, from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and a B.A. from Northwestern University.
