Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Attorney Kimberly Holmes Joins Dykema’s Chicago Office

Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the addition of Kimberly Holmes as Senior Counsel to the firm’s Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group. She will be based out of the firm’s Chicago office while working remotely in Connecticut and most recently served as Lead Counsel, Privacy Compliance for the Columbus-based law firm of Perez Morris.

In her practice at Dykema, Holmes oversees and manages breach response and data privacy and security matters on behalf of Fortune 100 and 200 companies as well as midsize client organizations across multiple industry verticals. She manages many external relationships with key industry brokers as well as senior carrier claim and underwriting leadership on behalf of the firm for data privacy and cybersecurity matters. Holmes also works closely with clients on various liability and compliance matters nationally.

Throughout her career, Holmes has served in various legal, executive, and management capacities both within and outside the insurance industry. She has both led and spoken at key national insurance industry events; utilizing her more than 20 years of industry experience to collaborate with insured clients, brokers, industry experts, and both large and small carriers as needed to achieve optimal business solutions across multiple industry landscapes.

Holmes earned a J.D., cum laude, from the Western New England University School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is currently admitted to practice only in Connecticut state and federal courts.
