John Fraser Recognized as a Notable Leader in Cannabis by Green Market Report

Dykema is proud to announce that John Fraser, Michigan Team Leader of Dykema’s Cannabis group, was named a Notable Leader in Cannabis by Green Market Report. Fraser was featured in the September edition of Green Market Report.

According to Green Market Report, this inaugural feature showcases top leaders in cannabis nationwide.

In his practice, Fraser focuses on business, regulatory compliance, general litigation, and appellate law. He primarily counsels cannabis entrepreneurs and investors, municipal governments, and other attorneys on matters of cannabis law. He also has experience with litigation cases in trial courts throughout the State of Michigan and has argued cases before the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court. Fraser has also been retained to serve as an expert witness and consultant in cases involving cannabis businesses to assist the parties and the court in breaking down and navigating complex cannabis-related legal issues.

Fraser is the immediate past Chairperson of the State Bar of Michigan’s Cannabis Law Section. He also is an adjunct professor of law at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School where he teaches Marijuana and the Law.

Fraser earned a J.D., summa cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law, and a B.S., cum laude, from Central Michigan University.
