Dykema, a leading national law firm, announced today that Los Angeles-based Member Tamara Bush has been appointed as Leader of the firm’s Product Liability and Class Action Litigation Practice Group. She steps into this role already having served as co-leader of the group for the past few years—a group that ranks among the top three firms nationally by both Chambers USA 2022 (Product Liability and Mass Torts) and The Legal 500 U.S. 2022 (Product Liability, Mass Tort and Class Action – Defense: Automotive/Transport).

Prior to this appointment, Bush has also served Dykema in several other firm leadership roles, including for more than a decade as a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee as well as its Diversity & Inclusion Committee. In 2020, she received Dykema’s “Mentor of the Year” award for her efforts supporting associates across all firm offices.

In her practice, Bush represents clients in commercial disputes over contract performance, business torts, trade secrets, and insurance coverage. She has vast experience managing the defense of large-scale class, collective, and multidistrict actions involving high-value product liability, breach of warranty, and statutory claims. Bush has handled a substantial amount of work in the defense of product liability actions on behalf of manufacturers, distributors, and/or designers of automobiles, trailers, forklifts, and other consumer products.

Bush has received recognition from professional and industry organizations throughout her career. She was named a Leader of Influence by the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2022, has been recognized by The Legal 500 United States in the areas of Automotive Product Liability, Mass Tort and Class Action (2022) and Transport: Rail and Road – Litigation (2019), and was named a Litigation Future Star by Benchmark Litigation for seven consecutive years.

Bush earned a J.D. from the University of Southern California, and a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
