Tom Alleman Discusses PFAS Testing with Bloomberg Law

For Bloomberg Law, Tom Alleman offered a legal point of view on the future of PFAS chemical testing. In the article, Alleman responds to the claim that having insurance pay for these blood tests would increase litigation, saying:

“For a toxic tort suit to be successful, the plaintiffs have to prove both general causation and specific causation. General causation is when a substance is considered capable of causing an injury or condition, while claims of specific causation must meet a higher bar establishing that a substance caused a specific individual’s injury.”
