U-Haul’s “Moving Our Business Forward” Legal Conference: An Award-Winning Success

U-Haul’s 2025 National Legal Conference earned a First Place Your Honor Award from the Legal Marketing Association’s Tech West and Southwest Regions, recognizing the event for delivering a highly engaging, innovative, and impactful conference experience. The two-day event, held in May, brought together U-Haul’s in-house legal team and its nationwide network of outside counsel to strengthen collaboration, share insights, and align on strategic priorities.

Under the theme “Moving Our Business Forward,” the conference combined informative sessions with interactive, memorable experiences that reflected U-Haul’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence. Attendance increased by 50% compared to previous conferences, while sponsorship revenue reached a new record high. Participants engaged in a variety of creative activities, including a gamified scavenger hunt, road trip–themed networking buttons, and a stage built entirely from branded moving boxes. A custom parody video featuring U-Haul’s former mascot, “Sammy U,” added humor and energy, tying the theme together and enhancing attendee engagement.

Beyond professional development and networking, the conference included a charitable initiative, where attendees created nearly 100 blankets for veterans in need—underscoring U-Haul’s culture of community involvement and social responsibility.
