Dykema, a leading national law firm, announced today that the firm and Washington, D.C.-based attorneys Eric Fingerhut, Jennifer Fraser, and Marsha Gentner, all from the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group, were each ranked in the United States: DC Metro Area category of the 2022 edition of World Trademark Review 1000 (WTR 1000 2022). This marks the 11th consecutive year that both Fingerhut and Fraser have been recognized as top practitioners, while it is Gentner's third straight time appearing on the list.
Each year, the World Trademark Review 1000 recognizes the leading national and international trademark practitioners from around the globe. Fingerhut, Managing Member of Dykema's Washington, D.C., office, Fraser, Leader of the firm's Trademark Practice, and Gentner, Senior Counsel, were individually recognized.
Here is was the WTR 1000 2022 had to say about Dykema, Fingerhut, Fraser, and Gentner:
Rights holders that partner up with Dykema Gossett tend to stick around. As one client of 30-plus years’ standing explains: “We have stayed with the firm because of the quality of professional service it offers. The team keeps us informed on the progress of our matters and proposes the best solutions when complicated legal issues come up.” Members of the trademark group hail from diverse backgrounds – USPTO, in-house counsel and policy and consulting roles – enabling it to size up any issue from multiple angles and advise holistically. Captaining the side is Jennifer Fraser, a former trademark examiner who has all aspects of prosecution on lock. She also resolves disputes with a deft touch, acquitting herself admirably in TTAB proceedings, in which she conducts thorough investigations and employs creative strategies to obtain the right outcomes – something she has recently done for world-leading ball bearing manufacturer SKF. Leadership is also provided by senior counsel Marsha Gentner, who helms the copyright practice but also lights up paths for trademark owners. Adept at international enforcement, she deals with issues such as bad-faith filings in China with poise. Eric Fingerhut also has a gift for untangling knotty problems. He understands the needs of emerging companies, but also does superlative work for well-established brands as a portfolio manager, enforcer and commercial IPlawyer.
Through an extensive research process conducted by a team of highly qualified, full-time analysts, WTR 1000 identifies the leading trademark law firms and individuals in more than 70 global jurisdictions.
