James Aldrich, Bloomfield Hills-based Member and Leader of Dykema's Immigration practice, was quoted in the Bloomberg Law article, “Suit Seeks to Halt H-1B System Called ‘Rife’ With Abuse.”

The article discusses class action lawsuits filed against the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), claiming fraud and abuse in the online lottery system created under the previous administration for H-1B visas applications. Aldrich states that the online registration was popular, but reforming it may “open up a whole set of other issues about how to go about correcting it.”
