Crain’s Cleveland Business Taps Marsha Gentner to Discuss Trademark Issues with Use of Cleveland Guardians Name

Marsha Gentner, Washington, D.C.-based Senior Counsel in Dykema’s Intellectual Property Group, was quoted in the Crain’s Cleveland Business article, “Yes, the Indians knew about the roller derby team. Should they be concerned?”.

In the article, Gentner spoke about the Cleveland Guardians roller derby team and how it filed a trademark application four days after the baseball team filed its own application on April 8. She said the baseball team should have priority because of the filing date. Gentner then predicted the baseball team will litigate if necessary.
