On Monday, November 18, 2013, Rick McDonald, Bloomfield Hills-based member and leader of Dykema’s Securities and Public Company practice, will deliver a presentation to Ann Arbor SPARK—a nonprofit organization dedicated to support high tech and other innovative businesses in the Ann Arbor region.
McDonald’s presentation—part of Ann Arbor SPARK’s “Business Law & Order” series—will focus on amendments to Rule 506(c), mandated by the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (JOBS Act), that now permit issuers to engage in general solicitation or general advertising in the private placement of securities.
McDonald will provide insight into the latest changes to Rule 506 and discuss their proper use in raising capital.
