In its April 12, 2014 edition, The Texas Lawbook, an online news site that focuses on lawyers who represent businesses in litigation, transactional and regulatory matters in Texas, highlights an appellate court win by a Dykema team led by Christopher D. Kratovil, Dallas-based member whose practice focuses on appellate matters. Kratovil was assisted by Christine Nowak, member of Dykema’s Litigation Department, also resident in Dallas.

In its article—“Dallas Court Rejects Developer Billingsley’s Carrolton Airport Efforts”—The Texas Lawbook covers the unanimous decision by the Dallas Court of Appeals that ruled a real estate developer’s plans to shut down a residential air park community in Carrolton, Texas were unconstitutional.

Kratovil believes the 50-page opinion is an important victory not only for the residents of the Air Park Estates community but for “homeowners throughout the state,” and is likely to be cited in future land-grab actions.
