In its annual survey of more than 500 corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 and large companies, BTI Consulting Group named Dykema to its 2014 Honor Roll of Law Firms with Best Client Relationships in the Industrial Manufacturing Industry.

This year’s edition of the BTI Client Relationship Scorecard: Ranking Law Firm Client Relationships marks the 13th annual survey of leading corporate counsel. Firms surveyed have an average revenue of $16.4 billion and spend—on average—close to $20 million annually on outside legal services. The 2014 survey covers organizations in over 20 industries.

When asked to define how survey respondents—nearly half of whom are General Counsel and Chief Legal Officers—define the “absolute best client relationships,” BTI President Michael Rynowecer notes that two core criteria emerge:

  1. Strong, well-established relationships as a primary law firm
  2. Vibrant, enthusiastic client recommendations

Peter Kellett, Dykema Chairman and CEO, said, “This is a significant recognition for two reasons. First, it underscores the importance clients place on their relationship with us. And second, it affirms that our Firm-wide commitment to deliver outstanding service to clients is a key differentiator.”
