Anthony Ilardi, Jr., member in Dykema’s Taxation Practice Group, is a faculty member and key presenter at a 90-minute webinar/teleconference, “Tax Credits after Historic Boardwalk Hall.”  This event will take place Tuesday, February 12, 2013 and will run from 1pm to 2:30pm (EST). The event is presented by Strafford, a leading national purveyor of continuing education for the legal, corporate tax, accounting and tax preparer professions.

Ilardi and a co-presenter will review the recent Historic Boardwalk Hall L.L.C. v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue case and discuss how this ruling:

  • impacts other real estate deals financed with historic tax credits;
  • extends to other tax credits used as creative sources of funding; and,
  • underscores the need to evaluate other existing deals to ensure they withstand IRS scrutiny

In addition to the speaker presentations, the webinar will include an interactive Q&A session in which participants can get answers to their specific questions.  This event is eligible for at least 1.5 general CLE credits.

The webinar is designed for developers, lenders, investors and community development entities, and all others who consider the use of federal and state tax credits in economic development initiatives. To learn more about this event, or to register, click here.
