January 15, 2014

Phyllis Adams, Ann Arbor-based member in Dykema’s Health Care practice, has been appointed to the LeadingAge Legal Committee, effective January 2014. The Legal Committee represents the interests of LeadingAge. Nationwide, LeadingAge membership includes 6,000 not-for-profit organizations, 39 state partners (of which the Michigan chapter is one) and hundreds of businesses, consumer groups, foundations and research partners. All told, LeadingAge members touch four million lives each day. Ms. Adams will serve as the representative of LeadingAge Michigan, the Michigan chapter of LeadingAge.

At Dykema, Adams represents clients in the health care sector—especially long-term care and assisted living facilities. Her practice focuses on certificate of need issues, health facility acquisitions, long-term care joint ventures and collaborations, and other changes of ownership. She is the former Practice Group Leader of the Firm’s Health Care practice area, and in 2012 was honored with LeadingAge Michigan’s Business Partner of the Year Award.
