Tom Alleman Discusses Lack of Cyberinsurance Coverage in Construction Industry with Law360

May 24, 2018

Thomas B. Alleman, Dallas-based member in Dykema’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group and Director of the Firm’s Insurance Industry Group, was quoted at length in the Law360 article “Contractors May Be Missing Cyberrisks With Insurance Plans.”

In the article, Alleman points out that there hasn’t been a corresponding increase in the requirement for cyberinsurance to go along with the enhancement of cyberrisks in the construction industry. He further points out that many companies in the industry operate under the assumption that since they have policies that cover losses stemming from physical and property damage that are already protected from any cyberthreats and suggests that contractors begin looking into the cyberinsurance market.
