Richard Y. Cheng, Dallas-based member in Dykema’s health care practice group, was quoted in the Health Care on Bloomberg Law article, “Taking an Experimental Drug Could Jeopardize Your Health Insurance.” 

The report warns of the predicament facing terminally-ill patients who enter non-FDA-approved drug treatments. The same “Right to Try” laws allowing them to participate in experimental, possibly life-saving treatments, also permit insurance companies to refuse any hospice care coverage.
