Richard Y. Cheng Selected to Edit and Co-Author Chapter on Billing Practices for Nursing Homes for Bloomberg BNA Health Care Program Compliance Guide

Dykema, a leading national law firm, announced today that Richard Y. Cheng, Dallas-based member of Dykema’s Health Care Practice Group, was selected to serve as an editor and co-author for a chapter of the Bloomberg BNA Health Care Program Compliance Guide.

The Bloomberg BNA Health Care Program Compliance Guide is designed to provide professional analysis and practical advice to compliance officers and health attorneys on a number of issues affecting health care providers and is generally available on Bloomberg Law. The chapter Cheng was asked to contribute on is “Billing Practices: Nursing Homes.”

In his practice, Cheng focuses on corporate transactions, regulatory, compliance matters and administrative appeals. He has extensive experience representing skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, home health agencies, community hospitals, physician groups, hospices, labs, pharmacies, medical spas, wellness providers, regulated products providers (e.g. medicinal cannabis) and rehabilitation providers. Outside of his practice, Cheng serves as Vice Chair of the Post-Acute Care Continuum Task Force American Bar Association’s Health Law Section.

Cheng earned a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center, a B.S.O.T./M.O.T., cum laude, from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, a Graduate Certificate of Public Health from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and a B.A. in Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is also currently working toward earning an M.B.A. from The University of Memphis. Cheng has a Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) through the Certification Compliance Board (CCB).
