Eric Fingerhut Discusses Considerations for Trademark Owners in Wake of Converse Decision in World Trademark Review

Eric T. Fingerhut, Office Managing Member of Dykema's Washington, D.C., office and former leader of Dykema’s Trademark & Copyright Practice, was quoted in the World Trademark Review article “What trademark owners can learn from the Federal Circuit’s Converse decision.”

In the article, Fingerhut points out that the decision serves as a reminder to practitioners about the importance of ongoing evidence collection. He suggests owners of important trademarks conduct surveys every five or ten years and consider collecting press clippings that highlight how unique the brand is.
