Eric Fingerhut Quoted in World Trademark Review

Eric T. Fingerhut, Washington, D.C.-based leader of Dykema’s Trademark practice, was quoted in the World Trademark Review article “‘Alt-right’ using brand names as racist code words – and companies are powerless to stop them.”

In the article, Fingerhut points out the importance of brands doing something when it comes to the misuse of their trademarks and explores some potential options in combating the practice of using popular brand names to substitute offensive words on social media platforms.
