Dykema is pleased to announce that four of its Texas-based practitioners have been selected for inclusion in the 2013 Texas SuperLawyers list. This is a special honor, as no more than five percent of the attorneys within the state achieve this distinction.
The Texas-based Dykema attorneys—all resident in the Firm’s Dallas office—who have been named to 2013 SuperLawyers are:
Lawyer |
Practice |
Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights |

Finkelstein, who is Office Managing Member of Dykema’s two Texas offices (Dallas, Austin), and Jordan, who is Office Managing Member Emeritus of the Firm’s Dallas office, are each celebrating 11 consecutive years of SuperLawyer recognition. Sales has been named to SuperLawyers ten consecutive years. Fine earns his first SuperLawyer appearance in 2013.
The Dykema attorneys named as 2013 Texas Rising Stars—again, all based in the Dallas office—are:
Lawyer |

Civil Litigation Defense, Professional Liability: Defense |

Christine Adamson Nowak |
Estate & Trust Litigation, General Litigation |
Criminal Defense: White Collar, Securities Litigation |
This year marks Ashmore’s inaugural recognition as a Rising Star; Nowak earns Rising Star honors for the second consecutive year; and Ross celebrates four straight years of Rising Star recognition.
2013 has been a memorable year for Chris Kratovil: not only has he been named a Rising Star for the seventh consecutive year, but this marks the third straight year he has earned distinction as one of the “Best Lawyers in Dallas” (Appellate), as conferred by D Magazine, the leading city magazine in Dallas.
The Rising Star distinction is conferred upon outstanding lawyers who are either 40 years old or younger or have been in practice for 10 years or less. One measure of the specialness of this honor: no more than 2.5 percent of the state’s lawyers merit inclusion in the annual listing of Rising Stars.
The SuperLawyers and Rising Stars lists are prepared annually by Thomson Reuters and announced, state-by-state, on a rolling calendar. The two lists rate outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.
