Grant Gilezan Explains Impact of New EPA Air Emission Rules
Recently, Grant Gilezan, Dykema's Environmental Law Group Practice Leader, spoke with Aleks Miziolek, who directs the firm's Automotive Industry Group, about a host of new air emission rules adopted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Their conversation is this week's featured video on the Autobeat Insider website.
Gilezan explained how these new emission rules could significantly increase compliance and operating costs to the production of resins used to make PVC and other plastics widely used in the auto industry. He noted that planning and partnering within the automotive supply chain will be critical to meeting the compliance objective in the most cost-effective manner, maintaining price stability, and ultimately developing alternate materials with less regulated constituents.
