Richard Goetz, senior counsel and leader of Dykema’s International Practice Group, will be a featured participant in a one-hour webcast, “FCPA: Developments in Anticorruption Enforcement.”

The event, scheduled for 3 p.m. (EST) on Wednesday, September 12, and sponsored by The Conference Board, is particularly appropriate for senior executives at companies that conduct business worldwide. As this webinar will provide guidance for corporations and their employees who seek to implement best practices in global compliance programs, it should be especially appropriate for in-house counsel, compliance officers, internal auditors/controllers and corporate treasurers.

Among the questions to be addressed:

  • What elements should an effective FCPA program include?
  • What can companies do to protect themselves from the actions of rogue employees?
  • When, if ever, should outside counsel be retained in matters of bribery?

Joining Goetz will be Claudius Sokenu, a partner in the Securities and Enforcement Litigation practice at Arnold and Porter. The session will be moderated by Sophia Muirhead, Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, The Conference Board.
