Jason Hanselman Quoted in Law360 Article

Jason T. Hanselman, Lansing-based member in Dykema’s Government Policy & Practice group, was quoted in the Law360 article, “States Vent Frustration On Vendors In Tribal Compact Rows.”

The article discusses how businesses working with tribal casinos are caught in the crossfire of tribal-state gaming compact battles in Arizona and New Mexico. Hanselman points out that since states are bound to negotiate compacts in good faith under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, they have resorted to regulation that hits hard at the equipment makers, suppliers and other businesses working with tribal casinos to gain some economic leverage over tribes.
